I am the President of First Farmers & Merchants Bank in Le Sueur, I have 17 years of experience working with local farms, businesses and individuals in the area. Prior to banking I taught Farm Business Management at South Central College. I am also a retired 34 year veteran of the Minnesota Army National Guard, I rose to the rank of Colonel and had the honor of commanding a brigade of more than 1800 troops.
My wife Kristan and I grew up in the area and are 29 year residents of Le Sueur where we raised our two children. I am a member and Past Commander of the Le Sueur American Legion Post #55, a member of the Le Sueur VFW, Le Sueur Lions Club, Le Sueur Economic Development Authority, chair of the St Anne’s Finance Council and served on the local School Board.
I am certain my leadership and my 20 years of financial experience will be invaluable as the state works through its projected budget deficit. These experiences will help me as I work to ensure our state government lives within its means.
